develop aesthetic traffic barriers for park roads and parkways, and
other roads under Federal jurisdiction. This requirement shall consist
of using computer simulation to determine the critical impact point
(CIP) of a transition section, conducting full-scale crash tests of a
transition and a series of aesthetic traffic barriers, preparing test
reports, preparing a final report in electronic format and storing test
data on Bernoulli cartridges. This contract will provide aesthetic
traffic barriers that have been crash tested and evaluated in
accordance with National Cooperative Highway Research Program Report
(NCHRP) No. 350. The anticipated period of performance will be for a
48-month period. Specifications and proposal doocument may be obtained
from the above address. Request For Proposal No. DTFH71-99-R-00009 to
be issued on or about July 12, 1999. Proposals must be received at the
above address no later than August 25, 1999. All responsible parties
