changed as follows: THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PROVIDE DISKETTES OR HARD
COPIES FOR THIS SOLICITATION. All procurement
information;SOW,IFB,Amendments,Exhibits,Forms and other related items
will have to be downloaded from the website. The purpose of this CBD
amendment is to seek comments for the Inorganic
(Multi-Media,Multi-Concentration)Analysis Statement of Work (SOW) for
OERR's Contract Laboratory Program (CLP). The period to provide
comments has been extended by 30 days from June 23, 1999 to July
23,1999. Comments should be provided to Hildy Pollard Contracting
Officer via e-mail only at: pollard.hildy@epamail.epa.gov The comment
period has been extended to provide additional time to respond to some
of the significant changes to this new SOW(ILM5.0) as compared to the
SOW currently in operation (ILM4.0) in the CLP. We have provided two
comparisons of the existing ILM4.0 to the new IM5.0. Documents can be
found at the website address provided in this announcement. The first
document is a summary of changes, the second document is more explicit.
Although individual responses to comments will not be provided, ALL
comments will be considered for inclusion. The SOW is still in DRAFT
form, and is subject to changes. Comments should not be restricted to
clarification, changes on the technical nature and structure of the SOW
are welcome. In addition, to comments provided by reviewers, EPA would
like responses of the following issues: 1 a) Are the lower detection
limits in this new SOW achievable? 1b) Would you prefer the use of
ICP/MS to achieve the lower detection limits to be only an OPTION for
bidding (e.g., Inorganic Low Concentration Option). 1c) If so, which
elements should be part of the Inorganic Low Concentration Option using
ICP/MS? 2a) Do you have concerns with the Classical Chemistry
Parameters in the SOW? 2b) If so, would you prefer the Classical
Chemistry Parameters to be an OPTION for bidding? 2c) Would you prefer
the Classical Chemistry Parameters to be performance based methods or
specified? 2d) Would you prefer the Classical Chemistry Parameters to
be deleted from this SOW? 3) Do you have concerns with the deletion of
GFAA? In addition this announcement is to notify potential bidders of
EPA's requirement, generate the bidders list and direct interested
parties to the EPA's Doing Business with EPA @ Internet World Wide Web
site at http://www.epa. gov/oam. Potential bidders who have contacted
EPA previously are not required to notify us again. The IFB and other
related documents for this procurement are and will be posted on this
Web site and can be downloaded. Interested parties must forward
request to be placed on the bidders list via Internet E-mail
