This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F0470099T0808. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. The standard industrial classification code is 4141. The size standard is $5.0M. This acquisition is unrestricted. The acquisition is for the following non-personal services: The contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, and transportation required to perform the following service: Provide bus support with drivers to t he 95th Transportation Squadron for the Edwards AFB Open House; period of performance is October 9th and 10th, 1999; service hours 5:30 a.m. -- 6:00 p.m. each day; 56 buses (28 each day)- 47 passengers or more capacity; 4 buses (2 each day) -- 39 passengers or more capacity bus with at least 2 wheelchair tie-downs. The Contractor's main facility must be within two hours of Edwards AFB to provide additional bus support and/or replacement of unserviceable buses. The Contractor must ensure buses and drivers are registered and licensed to transport passengers in California. Offerors are required to submit with their quote, State of California registrations and licenses evidencing that they are approved to transport passengers.
