Work consists of reconditioning the traveled way and shoulders of existing road and/or parking lot areas; scarifying and removal and disposal of unsuitable surfacing and sub-grade material; blading, shaping, and compacting of sub-grade; and the furnishing, hauling, placing and compaction of a 1 inch minus gradation crushed aggregate surface replacement course. The work is to be performed at the Forest Service Work Center in downtown Cordova, Alaska, Alaganik Slough Road at approximately mile 17, Saddlebag Road mile 25, and Childs Glacier Road mile 48 of the Copper River Highway on the Cordova Ranger District. The estimated start work date is late August 1999. The contract time will be 90 calendar days. Estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000.
