The QIAGEN BioRobot 9600 is a versatile liquid handling workstation for use in a variety of general laboratory procedures and has been developed to enhance the performance of QIAGEN purification technologies. Includes applications such as automated sequencing, PCR and isolation of ultrapure and molecular grade purities of nucleic acids. The BioRobot also includes a high-speed pipetting system which works through a closed system, eliminating the contamination risk from using troughs open to the atmosphere. Total system support includes software, hardware, and QIAGEN chemistries from a single source. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 . This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. All interested parties may identify their interests, but must provide proof of capability, in writing; to provide an acceptable, comparable product by submitting pricing data, accurate description, make, and model number of the equipment offered. Since no solicitation package exists, requests for such documents without accompanying information to establish the vendor's capability of meeting the Govt. needs will be considered non-responsive to this synopsis. Only responses containing this data will be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Award will not be made on the basis of responses to this synopsis. If no feasible responses are received by the close of business 15 days from the date this notice appears in the CBD, a procurement will be negotiated with the above-named source.
