soliciting offers for some personal gear/clothing for aviators. These
supplies will be mailed out of the country to Bogota, Colombia. THIS
PROCUREMENT IS A SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE AND A SOLICITATION. NO
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WILL BE MAILED OUT. The items required are Brand
Name US Cavalry or Equal for the following total order required: 9 Prs.
Boots #BA 6373; 9 ea. Nomex Flight Suits #AA2942, and 9 ea. Nomex
Flight gloves #AA 6786. In your offer, vendor must note which items are
in stock and which items would have to be ordered from your
manufacturer. To avoid problems, you will need to supply REALISTIC
delivery dates for all items which must be ordered from a manufacturer.
Colors required are sage green for the gloves and flight suits and
black for the boots. Be sure and note the colors you are offering.
Include in your offer full descriptive material and pictures for each
item required. Sizes required for each item and individual quantities
required for each item are as follows:Flight suits, one each size 46R,
one each size 42L, one each size 46S, two each size 40R, one each size
38S and three each size 40S. Gloves, five pairs of size 10, one pair
size 11, 3 pairs of size 9. Boots, one pr of size 8, one pair of size
11, one pair of size 9, four pairs of size 8 and 2 pairs of size 8R.
NOTE AND THIS IS IMPORTANT: If after receipt of the supplies, the
Embassy would like to make an exchange for a different size, etc., the
Government, at its own shipping & insurance expense should be able to
return the ordered item(s) and effect an even exchange for a similar
item of the same price WITHOUT BEING CHARGED A RESTOCKING FEE BY THE
VENDOR. THE VENDOR MUST ADDRESS THIS REQUIREMENT IN THEIR OFFER. If the
vendor would charge a restocking fee or similar fee under the
circumstances noted above, that fee must be spelled out in the quote
and this charge will be included as a consideration in the evaluation
of offers. Prices quoted must include the costs of insurance & shipping
by US parcel post to the American Embassy, Bogota, Colombia. THIS IS AN
URGENT REQUEST. IMPORTANT: Please note that the award will not
necessarily be made to the lowest priced items. The Government will
make an award to the responsible Offeror(s) whose offer(s) conforms to
the solicitation contained herein and is the most advantageous to the
Government, (i.e. that which represents the Best Value for the
Government, cost or price and other factors including time period
required to the Embassy. The combined relative merit of the technical
evaluation factors listed above will be more significant than cost or
price in the selection of the contractor. While the cost or price
factor has no numerical weight, it is a criterion in the overall
evaluation of the offers. Furthermore, the proposed cost or price must
be reasonable and reflect technical requirements. The Government may
award to other than the lowest price. In the event that two or more
offers are technically equivalent, the cost/price & delivery time will
be primarily important. Total prices quoted must include shipping by
US parcel post and insurance costs to the american Embassy, Bogota,
Colombia. All responsible offers will be considered by the Bureau.
