Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with Westat, Inc., 1650 Research Boulevard, Rockville, MD, 20850, to perform multi-site monitoring for clinical tuberculosis trials. The trials are sponsored by, and conducted in conjunction with, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia. The unique technical and research experience that Westat, Inc., possesses in the field of multi-site, multi-protocol clinical trial tuberculosis monitoring is of special relevance as it will enable the consistent continuation of established site monitoring activities.
