S -- STORAGE SERVICES SOL RFQ-FMS-2881 DUE 071699 POC Mary Lanier, FAX to (202)874-7275 The U.S. Department of the Treasury, Financial Management Service (FMS), is seeking sources to provide storage for critical Government-owned microfilm, computer tapes, optical disks, and support documents in a secure location, as well as provide a semi-monthly pick-up and delivery service for these items for the Chicago Financial Center(CFC). The Contractor's storage site shall be capable of storing an estimated 17,000 non-standard 10" diameter microfilm reels, 100 magnetic tapes, 10 optical disks and a maximum volume of 15 boxes approximately 10" x 12" x 18". The site shall be located within the Chicago metropolitan area and more than 5 miles from the CFC, located at 536 S. Clark Street, Chicago, Illinois. The storage site shall have a controlled environment with a temperature range of 62 to 68 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity controls from 35 to 45 percent. Also, the site shall have in place a central fire suppression system and an electronic intrusion system to provide maximum protection of the CFC records. A resultant order from this announcement shall include a one year option renewal up to the Simplified Acquisition threshold. Services shall be required for one base year starting October 1, 1999 with a one year option period starting October 1, 2000. It is requested that pricing be provided for both fiscal year 2000 and 2001. Award will be made to the technically acceptable low price offeror. Proposals will be evaluated against the requirements set forth in the Statement of Work.
