SBA DISTRICTS. A Firm fixed price design-build contract will be
awarded using competitive negotiation procedures. It is anticipated
that the proposal due date will be approximately 30 August, 1999. The
specific proposal due date will be identified in the specification
package. This work includes all labor, transportation, materials,
equipment, and supervision necessary to provide whole site repair and
renovation for the Maylor Capehart style housing at NAS Whidbey Island,
Oak Harbor, Washington. Work includes interior and exterior renovations
to 160 units. Exterior renovations include parking
improvements/driveway widening, removing existing carport structure and
providing new garages, landscaping near houses and in common areas,
utility improvements, window replacements, etc. Interior renovations
include utility improvements, finish treatments, kitchen and bath
renovations, etc. The Base Bid is for renovation of 80 housing units.
The Option item includes renovation of an additional 80 housing units.
Option item may be unilaterally awarded at the discretion of the
Government. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 1521. The
related small business size standard is $17 million. The estimated
price range (including both the Base Bid and Option) is over
$10,000,000,00. Plans and specifications are available ONLY to firms
meeting the above requirements, and will available on or about July 16,

plans and specifications must include: (1) complete solicitation number
and project title; (2) name, address, and phone number of the
requesting company; and (3) Indicate that the firm is a certified 8(a)
concern meeting all of the aboverequirements. Specifications will be
mailed; no pickups are authorized. A copy of the Plan Holders list may
be obtained by written request or FAX (360) 396-0850. Lists will only
