Armstrong (970)490-7216; Amy Wright (970)490-7523 The Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all the labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other resources necessary to complete this project. The work includes but is not limited to above and below ground inspection; non-destructive evaluation; furnishing and applying groundline treatment, internal decay treatment, and preventative fumigant treatment; and tagging and preparing inspection reports on the wood poles on approximately 250 miles of transmission line. This project will be performed in Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico. The estimated order of magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be issued in hard copy FREE OF CHARGE. NOTE: In accordance with FAR 5.102-3, Western procurement officials will be limiting availability of this solicitation. Therefore, only a limited number of copies will be issued on a "first-come, first served" basis. Additional copies of this solicitation will be available through various "Plan Holders Rooms." All work for all of the Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs) must be completed within 360 calendar days after Western issues a Notice to Proceed. There will be only one award made from this solicitation. Therefore, all bidders must submit their bids on an "all or none basis." This solicitation will be issued on or about July 23, 1999. The projected bid opening date is on or about August 23, 1999. This proposed procurement is unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by this Agency.
