SOLICITATION NOTICE: Contractor shall provide all plant, materials, equipment, tools and labor required to perform the work necessary to complete the project in accordance with the contract specifications and drawings. Work consists of but is not limited to: Abate ACM (asbestos containing material) from steam and condensate piping to 10 existing air-handling units. Remove 10 existing air-handling units recessed into the hangar floor area walls including all support ductwork, piping, and power and control wiring and/or tubing back totheir connections at the main. Reclaim floor space for offices by removing walls separating offices and air handling unit enclosures. Repair walls and floors at the site of removed air handling units and finish to match existing. Repair site of duct and accessories removal at the hangar floor area and repair and refinish to match existing. Install new air handling units on the hangar floor complete with heat exchangers, support piping, ductwork and controls. Heat exchangers and associatedpumps shall be installed on a support structure a minimum of four (4) feet above finish floor elevation. Air Handling Units (AHU) shall be installed on support structures a minimum of seven (7) feet above finish floor elevation. Magnitude is between $500,000.00 -- $1,000,000.00. Performance period is 180 calendar days. Solicitation will be available on or about 19 JUL 99 with a Closing Date of 18 AUG 99. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Specifications and drawings will be available on CD ROM only. Format for the specifications is Word 6.0. The drawings are Autocad 12. There is no cost for the package. There is a limited supply and will be given out on a first come first serve basis until supply is exhausted.
