restoration, construction and obliteration on Bass Creek Day Use Trail
#129. Trail restoration includes approximately 283 meters of
restoration, waterbar installations, 465 meters of brushing and
miscellaneous reconstruction. Construction includes 3057 meters of new
construction with 2 switchbacks, 93 meters of turnpike of various
widths with associated side and leadoff ditches. Also included are
other items such as check dams, ditches, culvert installations and wire
basket construction. Construct 10 meters multiple-piece, glued laminate
bridge and 2 treated timber stringer bridges (3.6 meters and 4.2
meters). 1762 meters of trail obliteration includes barriers and
scarifying the original tread. The project is located on the
Stevensville Ranger District, Bitterroot National Forest, Ravalli
County, Montana. Proposals are due August 16, 1999. The estimated start
work date is September 30, 1999. The performance period is
approximately 400 calendar days. The estimated price range is between
$100,000 and $250,000. All responsible sources may submit an offer
