Sources Sought: Scope of Work is to repair the existing roof systems at aircraft hangars 194 and 200 at Homestead Air Reserve Station, Miami-Dade County, Homestead, Florida. The base is located approximately thirty miles south of Miami, FL. Work includes but is not limited to removing and replacing flashings, sections of roof membranes, and pitch-pans as noted in the project drawings. Damaged portions of the existing roofing system shall be repaired as noted in the project drawings and specifications. Flashing and other weatherproofing materials shall be applied along roof edges, around roof penetrations, and against parapets and other roof obstructions/discontinuities in order to provide a seamless, weather-tight roof system. This acquisition is for a Firm-Fixed-Price contract. The SIC is 1761. Magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000. Project performance period is 45 calendar days. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about 30 Jul 99. Dates are for estimating purposes only, and may be revised as indicated in the Request for Proposal (RFP). This solicitation is unrestricted and is open to large, small, small disadvantaged, and woman owned business concerns. Past Performance is an important evaluation factor for this solicitation.
