66 -- TOGA WSD DRIFTERS SOL NRMGD000902192SLW DUE 081399 POC Sharon Walker 816-426-7267 x241 The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA intends to procure 6 Toga WSD drifters with the following sensors Paroscientifice barometer, RM Young wind sensor, KVH for wind direction (4 samples per second) YSI air temperature sensor, YSI sea surface temperature sensor, Real-Time clock, Drogue on/off switch/ 100 M drogue, 65 lb drogue wright, 20 sticks of Alkaline batteries, 24 month operating life, Miron CSC paint on underwater portion of drifter, Air deployment package included. The drifter must use the ARGOS satellite system for sending data. The vendor must show that he has built not less than 50 of this type of drifters, and that they have been successfully deployed and produced data. The vendor must show that the package has been successfully deployed from a C130/141 military aircraft. This is not a small business set-aside. The SIC Code is 3822.
