Pileggi, 301-619-4070 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) sub part 12.6., as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The Air Force Medical Logistics Office/Veterans Affairs Special Services intends to negotiate on a sole source basis a purchase order to Vallen Inc. for the purchase of 4 each: Metrosonic Indoor Air Quality Monitoring Unit, Part Number AQ502; Installed Particulate Sensor, Part Number PA-502; and Ozone Sensor, Part Number GS-7709N. 2 copies of services manuals shall be included. This equipment shall be Y2K compliant. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Government believes Vallen, Inc. is the only vendor that can satisfy the agency requirements. A J&A for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support ofthis acquisition. Delivery, which shall be FOB Destination, shall occur not later than 30 August 1999. No solicitation is available.
