The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, National Vehicle and Fuel Emissions Laboratory (NVFEL), 2565 Plymouth Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan, is seeking a qualified contractor to manufacture three (3) heat exchangers; the Flat Manifold Heat Exchanger, the Cylindrical Heat Exchanger, and the Cylindrical Manifold Heat Exchanger. These heat exchangers are expected to operate at a temperature up to 650 degrees Celsius with pressures on the tube side up to 180 to 200 bar, therefore, attention to proper fit and manufacturing techniques is essential. It is expected that the entire package will be bid on by any interested manufacturer, however, EPA may not choose to have all of the heat exchangers built. This is a small business set-aside. This procurement will be processed using full and open competition under FAR Part 13 (simplified acquisition procedures). The SIC is 3826. It is anticipated that request for quotations shall be issued on 7/12/99, with quotes due on COB 7/22/99.
