US Army Communications-Electronic Command (CECOM) Acquisition Center intends to award a sole source modification to existing Contract DAAB07-99-C-K511. The contract modification shall extend the period of performance an additional six months in order to correct any product deficiencies found during Government testing and analysis VHF and UHF Mutiplexers. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Only One Responsible Source, Xetron, under authority of Title 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(b)(1). It is not feasible that another contractor, other than Xetron Corporation, can gain the technical expertise necessary to correct deficiencies within the scheduled timeframe. No solicitation will be forthcoming. A determination not to compete this contract action, based upon responses to this notice, is solely with the discretion of the Government.
