Work to include: (1) review the information needs previously identified as result of the Tongass Land Management Plan; (2) identify new information that may have arisen from the new Record of Decision, or that is emerging from project-level NEPA concerns; (3) identify how results of some of the on-going studies can be used to support other on-going studies; (4) identify the high-level synthesis themes that go beyond the immediate objectives of the individual studies; (5) document how the results of the on-going studies can support high-level synthesis themes and contribute towards answering some of their information needs; and (6) identify any remaining gaps in information needs, and possible opportunities to better address the high-level issues and the associated information needs either through enhancement of ongoing studies or linkages and information exchange between on-going studies and with other studies.
