Z -- REPAIR, REBUILD AND APPLY CONSERVATION TREATMENTS TO CONESTOGA WAGON SOL RQ-1200-99-015 DUE 072899 POC Technical POC: Dan Brown 719-383-5026 or Sonya Armstrong 303 969 2540 The National Park Service intends to award a sole source contract to Doug Thamert & Associates for repair, rebuild and application of conservation treatments to reproduction conestoga wagon under the authority of FAR 6.302. The work consists of replacing deteriorated wood components, fabricate and install missing and/or damaged steel components, reset tires on wood wheels. All components adjusted, stabilized, sanded and painted. Modify or replace historically incorrect components including front hounds, tonque, front and rear bolsters, brake beam, shoe irons & shoes, rough locks, grease bucket, body sill, rails and crossmembers. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all expressions of interest received by July 28, 1999 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received in response to this notice will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitve procurement.
