63 -- TREETOP PORTABLE TOWER SYSTEM SOL N00181-99-Q-0218 DUE 071699 POC Glenda Jones (757)396-8350 It is the intent of Norfolk Naval Shipyard to contract for the following item -- Item 0001 -- 2 each, Treetop Portable Tower System in accordance with the following ordering data -- 20 ft in height, portable one man hand transportation using form filled, maintenance free tire, hand crank elevation system for all weather operations, must be able to be deployed in five minutes or less, weight under 225 pounds with a footprint under fifteen feet when deployed supported with an integrated guy wire system for operations in high wind conditions, constructed of high strength anodized aluminum able to support up to 125 pound camera and remote head package, equipped with a customized bolt hole pattern mounting plate, must be able to sustain winds up to 60 knots with a maximum deflection of 3 degrees, must be able to be deployed under a variety of environmental and topographical conditions (17" above and 7" below ground grade), compact configuration of less than 6 feet before deployment and automatically locks into position at any elevation. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and proposals are being requested. A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation Number N00181-99-Q-0218 applies.
