Robinson The U.S. Customs Service intends to purchase on a sole source
basis 2 thin sectioning machines for microscopic analysis from
Microtek Engineering. These machines shall have the capability of
handling at a minimum of 7 samples for grinding and polishing at one
time. They also shall have a 7-27x46mm vacuum chuck which is the
standard petrogrqaphic size. They shall have a diamond blade, a digital
readout indicator, a diamond grinding plate and a coolant pump. The
vendor shall offer training either form of a video or on sight at no
cost.Prospective sources should include in their written responses
pricing and terms and conditions and technical data sufficient to
determine capability. No award will be based on any offer or proposal
received in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit
an offer which will be considered. Proposals will be accepted via fax
at 317-298-1344 attn: Sonja Robinson. Proposals shall be submitted by
5:00 pm central standard time 7/6/99, in order to be considered tiemly.
