The EDNet System currently supported by the OAISS contract is designated by the Department of Education as a mission critical system therefore failure of the system could prevent the Department from fulfilling its primary mission. This contract action continues service to provide and maintain stability throughout the Y2k rollover. The contractor is BTG/CAI, Inc. Dallas, TX 75284. This contract provides Help Desk, Workstation moves, Adds and changes, Technical evaluation, Testing and activity reporting, Server and software maintenance and EdNet (WAN, MAN, and LAN) Services. ED believes that BTG/CAI, Inc. is the only source possessing the necessary existing information, resources, and expertise to meet this program requirement within the time required by ED.
