KEEL, (228) 689-8368 The Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) at Stennis Space Center MS has a requirement for the overhaul of one 34 foot boat-HSL 915 from a T-AGS 50 Class HSL to a T-AGS 63 Class HSL in accordance with Statement Of Work (SOW) and Drawings. NAVOCEANO intends to issue a Request For Quotation (RFQ) utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) FAR Part 13 utilizing FAR Part 12 Commercial Items. The RFQ is to be released on or about 01 Jul for this requirement. Only contractors who have a Master Ship Repair Agreement (MSRA) or Agreement for Boat Repair (ABR) with the Department of the Navy and contractors whose facilities to be used in performance of this work are within sixty (60) mile radius of Stennis Space Center, MS will be considered. A Firm Fixed Price type contract is contemplated with the overhaul and converstion to be accomplished not later than 01 December 1999. Subsequent to the release of the RFQ, a viewing of the HSL T-AGS 50 Class boat, currently located in the Gulfport MS Harbor, will be scheduled on or about 15 July 1999. Contractors having the MSRA and ABR and performance facilities radius requirements will be allowed to inspect the T-AGS 50 and T-AGS 63 HSLs to assist in completion of the RFQ. Offerors will be required to submit a quotation including labor and materials to perform the work in accordance with the Government specifications and drawings. Evaluation critiera and other instructions to offerors will be contained in the written RFQ to be issued. Award of a contract resulting from this RFQ will be made to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms with all the requirements contained in the quotation. All responsible sources may submit a offer and those who meet the criteria contained above and to be included in the written quotation will be considered. Only those contractors meeting the above should submit a request for a copy of the technical drawings and specifications associated with this requirement.
