Q -- SOLICITATION OF VENDORS TO EXHIBIT HEALTHCARE PRODUCTS AND/OR SERVICES AT THE UNIFORM BUSINESS OFFICE (UBO) CONFERENCE The Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Health Affairs)(OASD(HA)) TRICARE Management Activity (TMA) is seeking vendors to exhibit their healthcare products and/or services at the Uniform Business Office (UBO) Conference, August 2-6, 1999, at the Hilton Crystal City Hotel, Arlington, VA. Products or services must be applicable to the management and administrative aspects of the Uniform Business Office, including the Third Party Collection Program (TPCP), Medical Services Accounts (MSA), and Medical Affirmative Claims (MAC). Aspects of the UBO include the following: utilization management; transcription, coding, billing (both paper and electronic data interchange (EDI); and consulting in adherence to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), Balanced Budget Act of 1977, Healthcare Financing Administration (HCFA) Requirements, compliance plans, claims management, Medicare, etc. Exhibit space will consist of an area for display booth and one six foot table with two chairs each.TMA will make exhibitor selections based on applicability to the conference focus and topical areas, as well as the order of receipt of completed applications.
