A five-year warranty and employment of a NACE III inspector shall be required. Project includes painting of facilities ranging from single story masonry, concrete or wood structures to water storage towers and communications towers lead-based and asbestos abatement has been identified in this project. Prior experience in painting these types of facilites is required. A firm fixed price indefinite-delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract is contemplated. Period of performance consists of base year with four option years. The minimum guaranteed amount for only the basic contract period of performance is approximately $50,000.00. No minimum guaranteed amount will be given for the option years. The estimated maximum amount for the life of the contract is $2.5M. Period of Performance is 365 calendar days after Notice to proceed is issued. Solicitation issue date of 29 Jul 99 and RFP opening date of 31 Aug 99 are tentative.
