Z -- RESURFACE COMBINED OUTDOORS BASKETBALL AND VOLLEYBALL COURTS AT GAMMON FIELD, FT MCPHERSON, GA. SOL DAKF11-99-B-1003 DUE 080499 POC Contract Specialist, Phillip M. Braswell (404) 464-4103 Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment and perform all work necessary to accomplish the following work in accordance with the specs and drawings. Work includes but is not limited to the following: 1. Removal of existing asphalt paving, crushed stone base, steel poles and all existing related items. 2. Excavate for the new reinforced concrete playing courts. The overall size of the court shall match the existing and is 79 feet wide by 120 feet long. 3. The new playing court base shall be a 6 inch thick reinforced concrete slab with the 4 sides folded down to form a drop footing. The new reinforced slab shall rest on a 10 mil thick polyethylene moisture barrier placed over 6 inches of compacted pit-run sand and gravel over compacted earth. Steel sleeves for basketball and volleyball post supports shall be cast into the concrete. 4. The top playing surface shall be vulcanized rubber with a 3 color textured nonslip finish. All game, lane and boundry lines shall be factory cut and in-laid,no painted lines will be accepted. 5. The contractor shall provide basketball posts, backstops, goals, volleyball posts, nets and all warranties. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000 -- $250,000.
