This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. 1425-99-SQ-1U-00014 is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-11. This acquisition is a small business set-aside. The size standard is 500 employees and the standard industrial classification code is 3496. The Yakima Field Office, has a fixed price requirement for furnishing and delivery of the following items: CLIN 0001 -- Woven Wire Screen, 4-1/2 mesh, .105 diameter, (12 ga.), T304 Stainless Steel, clear span .117 inch, 72 inches wide, 45 feet length, quantity of 24 rolls; CLIN 0002 -- Woven Wire Screen, 4- mesh, .105 diameter, (12 ga.) T304 Stainless Steel, clear span .117 inch, 60" wide 25 feet length, quantity 4 rolls. EACH ROLL SHALL NOT BE ROLLED IN A ROLLER AT ANY TIME. IF SHIPPED IN ROLLS, WIRE MUST BE HAND ROLLED TO THE SIZE OF 3 FEET 6 INCH ROLLS, INSIDE DIAMETER OR LARGER. SCREEN WITH WAVES, BUBBLES OR ANY DEVIATION FROM ROLL SPECIFICATION WILL BE REJECTED UPON DELIVERY AND ANY DELAYS OR RE-SHIPMENT COSTS WILL BE BORNE BY THE VENDOR. At this time we anticipate to award to Western Wire Works, P.O. 4382 -- 4025 N.W. Express Avenue, Portland, OR 97208 due to past non-compliance with other vendors. Submit your commercial specifications and basis for stating your woven wire screen equal to the woven wire screen provided by Western Wire Works. Offerors to be considered shall have past successful history of furnishing woven wire for use in Government/State fish screens, references will be required. Place of delivery will be Bureau of Reclamation, Yakima Field Office, 1917 March Road, Yakima, WA 98901-2058. Required delivery will be Sept. 1, 1999.
