This project consists of contact copying or compositing of 24" X 30" map layers of film, or Secondary Base sizes of up to 48" X 60", produced on vacuum frames with raw film provided by the Government at the USDA Forest Service Geospatial and Technical Service Center. Adhesive-backed film will be required in a 10" X 12" size and require 1:1 camera copies of typeset lettering from original photographic copy paper, or contact copy from a film positive or negative (the bulk in positive form). Negative map layer originals shall be made with rust-colored scribecoat or peel material which are actinically opaque. Others shall be normal black silver film negatives or positives. Some positive map layers contain stick-up type, base material clear polyester film with adhesive-backed lettering adhered to the surface, which can be easily damaged. All original map layers are punch-registered to each other and subsequent reproduction materials must be prepunched. A flatbed, radial, vacuum hold down, four-position is provided on site.
