The project consists of grading approximately 5.4 miles of the Natchez Trace Parkway from Interstate 20 to Cynthia Road south of U.S. Route 49, and constructing approximately 1.8 miles of incidental roadways. The project includes grading, drainage, aggregate base, hot asphalt concrete pavement, placement of curb and gutter, and other miscellaneous work. Principal items of work and approximate quantities are as follows: Clearing and grubbing, 48 ha; Embankment Construction, 585,000 m3; Aggregate base, grading MSHD, 150,000 m2; Hot asphalt concrete pavement, class B, 5,000 t; and Single course asphalt surface treatment, 63,400 m2.
