The project consists of the island wide paving and rehabilitation of segments of Routes 60, 62, 624, 73, and 708 on St. Croix. The work includes removal of existing concrete sidewalk, roadway excavation, placement of aggregate base, hot asphalt concrete pavement wedge or leveling course, hot asphalt concrete pavement, shoulder and ditch reconditioning, installation of guardrail, pavement markings, and other miscellaneous work. Principal items of work and approximate quantities are as follows: Embankment Construction: 3,225 m3; Aggregate Base, 150 mm: 13,575 m2; Shoulder and Ditch Reconditioning: 53,670 m; Hot Asphalt Concrete Pavement: 32,000 metric tons; Reinforced Concrete Pavement, 250 mm: 300 m2; and Pavement markings: 107,640 m. The project is expected to fall within the price range of $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.
