Miami, Ottawa County, OK. Ottawa Tribal Road begins at State Highway
I37 in Ottawa County, OK, near the NW corner of Sec. 1, T27N, R23E,
thence in an easterly direction approximately 1320 feet; thence
southerly direction 1650 feet; thence in an easterly direction
approximately 1760 feet to the SE corner of the SW 1/4, NE 1/4 of
Section 1, T27N, R23E, thence in a northerly direction approximatley
2640 feet to the NE corner of the NW 1/4, NE 1/4 of Section 1, T27N,
R23E; thence in a westerly direction approximately 2640 feet to the NW
corner of the NE 1/4, NW 1/4 of Section 1, T27N, R23E, Ottawa County,
Oklahoma. The project consists of grading, culverts, aggregate base,
asphalt concrete surfacing, seeding, erosion control, signing and
striping on 3.45 km (2 1/4 miles) of roadway. The Intertribal Complex
Road begins at a point approximately 330 feet west and 165 feet north
of the SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4, SW 1/4 of Section 29, T28N, R23E, Ottawa
County, Oklahoma; thence easterly approximately 660 feet, thence
curving northeasterly for a distance of 1320 feet. This project
consists of resurfacing 727.16m(0.45 miles) of the Intertribal Complex
Road with 75 mm (3 inches) of Type B Asphaltic Concrete and
Construction of Service Entrance. The estimated cost of construction is
between $400,000.00 to $600,000.00. Request bid documents on or after
July 23, 1999. The request should be accompanied with a $50.00
(non-refundable) cashier's check, certified check, or money order made
payable to the "Bureau of Indian Affairs", Muskogee Area Office,
Division of Administration-Contracts, Room 437, 101 N. 5th St.,
Muskogee, OK 74401-6206. Cash, Personal or Company Checks are not
acceptable. Bid opening will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 1999, 10:00
A.M., Local time at the place of bid opening, Room 410, U. S.
Courthouse and Federal Building, 101 N. 5th St., Muskogee, OK
74401-6206. A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for 10:00 A.M., August
10, 1999, Room 410, U. S. Courthouse and Federal Building, 101 N. 5th
St., Muskogee, OK 74401-6206. There will be no other scheduled pre-bid
conference and all interested bidders are strongly encouraged to
attend the conference. All responsible sources may submit an offer.
Section 7(b) of Public Law 93-638(25 U.S.C. 450e) and 4l CFR 14.1.354
requires preference opporutunities in employment and training be given
to Indian/Alaska Native individuals and that preference in the award
of sub- contracts be given to Indian/Alaska Native Economic
