Sealed bids from all business concerns will be accepted for the Natchez Trace Parkway Project PRA-NATR 3O15, in Madison County, Mississippi. The project consists of the repair of the Natchez Trace Parkway bridge over Mississippi State Route 43 and the lowering of the grade of Mississippi State Route 43 under the Parkway. The project work includes removal and replacement of the bridge superstructure and deck, construction of a detour road, roadway excavation, placement of aggregate base and hot asphalt concrete material, and other miscellaneous work. Principal items of work and approximate quantities are as follows: Roadway Excavation, 3,300 CUYD; Aggregate base, Grading MSHD, 3000 Tons; Hot asphalt concrete pavement, Class C, 900 Tons; and Removal of Bridge Superstructure, Lump Sum. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to $500,000 to provide accounts receivable financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1,000,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
