a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a
written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation
incorporates provisions and clauses identified in FAR Subpart 12, FAC
97-3, as required. Standard Industrial Classification is 3585 with a
750 employee size standard. This acquisition is 100% set aside for
small business concerns. This is a firm-fixed price procurement using
Commercial Procedures. This acquisition is for two 30-ton split system
air conditioning units and ancillary installation services. Contractor
must provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and transportation
necessary to furnish and install two 30-ton split system air
conditioning units in building 1207, AIS Shop, Shaw AFB, SC. Air
conditioning units shall be manufactured by Carrier, Trane, or a
substitute of equal quality. Applicable requirements are: (1) Recover
and dispose of all refrigerants from two 30-ton air conditioning units.
Furnish and install two 30-ton split system air conditioning units and
two 30-ton air handlers. Air handlers shall be installed in mechanical
room in the center of the building. Two 30-ton air cooled condensing
units with compressors in the condensing units shall be installed on
the flightline side of the building. Replace all existing refrigeration
lines with new _type L_ copper according to manufacturer_s
specifications. There is approximately 300 feet of suction line and 300
feet of liquid line. Connect new units to existing system. (2)
Electrical shall consist of 3 phase equipment. Install electrical
disconnects and wiring to all equipment according to manufacturer_s
specifications, current electrical load, and National Electric Code.
Controls will be installed by separate contractor. (3) Disassemble,
remove, and dispose of two 30-ton package air conditioning units from
the mechanical room in the center of the building and two air-cooled
condensers from flightline side of building. Completion deadline is 45
days after receipt of order. The following Far provisions and clauses
apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors
Commercial; FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation_Commercial Items, (price,
technical capability, and delivery); FAR 52.212-3, Offeror
Representation and Certifications_Commercial Items (Offerors must
include a completed copy with offer); FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and
Conditions Required to Implement Status of Executive Orders_Commercial
Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to
Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders_Commercial Items; and DFARS
252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement
Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of
Commercial Items. All offers are due no later than 9 July 1999 at 11:00
a.m. EST. Complete Representations and Certifications are required with
submission of pricing and technical description of items being quoted.
