synopsis entitled Ball Valves, Solicitation No. 8-1-9-02-C3982 which
was posted on June 9, 1999. You are notified that the synopsis is
deleted in its entirety.The Government has determined that this effort
will be converted from a sole source to full and open competition. The
following replaces the synopsis posted on June 9, 1999.This notice is
a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in
accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a
written solicitation will not be issued.This procurement is being
conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).Item No. 1
Valve, Ball, 4 inch, 6000 psig, 316 Stainless Steel, Teflon Seat, 4
inch Re-flange G31 G-Con end connections, CV=630, Port Diameter 3.15,
face-to-face dimensions "must" be 18 inches, with pneumatic actuator
Bettis Da Model G4016, accumulator tank 240 gallon, check valve-safety
relief valve solenoid, cleaned to MSFC-SPEC-164 fuel service,
assembled and tested, for GN2 service.Item No. 2 Valve, Ball, 3 inch,
6000 psig, 316 Stainless Steel, Teflon Seat, 3 inch 2500 ANSI ring type
joint (RTJ) flanged end connections, CV=360, Port Diameter 2.3 inch,
face-to-face dimensions "must" be 22 3/4 inches, with Hytork pneumatic
air fail safe actuator, cleaned to MSFC-SPEC-164 fuel service,
assembled and tested, for GN2 service.The provisions and clauses in the
RFQ are those in effect through FAC 97-05.This procurement is a total
small business set-aside. See Note 1. The SIC code and the small
business size standard for this procurement are 3492 and 500 employees,
respectively. The quoter shall state in their quotation their size
status for this procurement.All qualified responsible business sources
may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the
agency.Delivery to MSFC is required within 30 days ARO. Delivery shall
be FOB Destination. The DPAS rating for this procurement is
DO-C9.Quotations for the items(s) described above are due by July 14,
1999, 4:00 p.m. CST and may be mailed or faxed to Teresa A.

solicitation number, FOB destination to this Center, proposed delivery
schedule, discount/payment terms, warranty duration (if applicable),
