The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego,CA Monterey site (FISC SD, MONTEREY SITE) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) with GAGE Applied Sciences 1233 Shelburne Rd. Suite 400, Burlington, VT for a GageLab 0808/A/D System, the system shall be delivered to the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) 2 weeks after receipt of order. The equipment will be used for research of underwater acoustic communications and environmentally adaptive sonar technologies at the Advance Acoustics Research Laboratory (AARL) tank facilities located at NPS. The equipment must be able to digitize up to 5MS/s (Millions of samples per seconds) while maintaining a high signal to noise ratio of about 65 dB. Capacity to store 1 Ms of data and be expandable to 16MS. True simultaneous triggering and sampling of 8 channels and be expandable to at least 16 channels. Software selectable features must include sampling rate, input range, input coupling, input impedance, capture dept, operation mode, trigger range, trigger level, and trigger source. On board auto-calibration mechanism with a 10ppm/0C to minimize long term drifts in component properties. Oscilloscope emulation software that allows up to 32 signals to be displayed in the screen and a library of software drivers that includes Visual C++, Borland C++, Visual BASIC, Quick BASIC, MATLAB for windows and other windows compilers that can call a DLL.
