set aside for small business. The Government intends to procure
through Simplified Acquisition Method (commercial items). SIC Code
2819; small business size standard 1,000 employees. Furnish
approximately 1,500 tons of hydrofluosilic acid that shall be water
white to a straw yellow color, clean and free of suspended matter,
shall contain 25% acid with a specific gravity of 1,2235, 26.5% Baume
at 17.5 degrees centigrade, shall not contain more than 0.0020% heavy
metals expressed as lead and no other soluble mineral organic
substances in quantities capable of deleterious or injuries effect upon
health of those consuming water that has been treated properly with the
acid. The acid shall meet all standards of the AWWA specifications for
use in the treatment of potable water. The total estimated amount is
between $250,000.00 and $500,000.0-0. All responsi-ble sources may
submit a bid which shall be consid-ered by the agency. In order to
comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, all
contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration
(CCR) to be considered for award of a Federal contract. The initial
