Agency for International Development (USAID), is contemplating the
award of a five year cost-plus-award fee type contract. This
procurement is an 8(a) set-aside. The Office of Health and Nutrition
within the Bureau for Global Programs, Field Support and Research, and
the Center for Population, Health and Nutrition, plans to award a
contract that is designed to provide population, health, and nutrition
technical teams in USAID, other agencies, and developing countries
with essential information on program needs, technologies, costs, and
impacts to support accurate priority setting, design, management, and
evaluation of country programs. At the same time, the Contractor shall
bring together information, communication, and reporting systems to
advise USAID, other donors, and country officials on epidemiological
and demographic trends as well as financial and programmatic data for
each USAID PHN country program. This procurement is a follow-on
activity to the existing Center for International Health Information
project. All questions related to this notice and requests for a copy
of the RFP must be addressed in writing, by facsimile or by internet,
to the contact point stated above. Specify the RFP solicitation number,
the name of the procurement, and include your complete organization
name, street address, telephone and facsimile number, and the method of
distribution which you prefer (internet, diskette, or paper copy). No
telephone requests will be honored. The issuance date of the RFP is
expected to be on or about July 19, 1999. The closing date for
submission of the proposals, to be specified in the RFP, will be
approximately 30 days thereafter. The SIC for this solicitation is 7379
and the small business size standard is $18.0 million in average annual
receipts for the offeror's preceding three years. The preferred method
of distribution of USAID procurement information is via the Internet
or by request of a solicitation on a 3.5" floppy disk (Word format).
