The work includes but it is not limited to: site demolition, utilities, grading/earthwork, landscaping and paving; steel structure and concrete masonry block, fire sprinkler, kitchen equipment, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, site lighting and fire alarm system at the Clearfield Job Corps Center located in Clearfield, Utah. Estimated time for construction is approximately 52 weeks to substantial completion. The estimated construction cost range is 5,000,000 to $10,000,000. In addition, the project has the following add alternates: (1) Alternate No. 1: Demolition of the existing cafeteria, including, regrading and landscaping of the existing cafeteria site; and (2) Alternate No. 2: Food Presentation, Signs and Graphics package. Plans and specifications will be available on or about July 20, 1999, only from the office of AJC Architecture, 1776 South Main Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84115. It is emphasized that requests for plans and specifications shall be directed to the A/E firm listed above to ensure proper handling of requests. All requests must be in writing and a $100 bid deposit is required which is refundable when plans and specifications are returned in good condition. The bid deposit must be in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier's check or Money Order and made payable to the U.S. Department of Labor, and submitted to AJC Architecture at the time of request. All request will be answered on a first-come, first-serve basis until supplies are exhausted. For requests made after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether payment of a fee is warranted. The non-refundable fee shall not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the IFB documents, plus COD charges. A Pre-bid walk-through is scheduled for August 17, 1999, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Bid opening date is September 9, 1999, at 2:00 p.m. local time. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside acquisition. The SIC Code is 1542. The size standard is $17.0 million. See Numbered Note(s): 1.
