The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ intends to enter into negotiations on a sole source basis with Boeing Aerospace Corp. to procure one (1) Laser Measurement Unit for the F/A-18 Aircraft, P/N 74D740176-2701, and sixteen (16) assorted components, as listed, via order against BOA N68335-99-g-0028. Boeing is the only known source with the knowledge, experinece and technical data required to produce these items. The Government does not own the specifications or drawings. The Laser Measurement Unit (LMU) consists of a detector assembly, a 1064 NM radiation source, eye-safe shroud, safety interlocks and a high voltage laser power supply. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
