N -- PROVIDE/INSTALL SOUND REINFORCEMENT SYSTEMS, U.S. DISTRICT COURT, AKRON OHIO SOL USCS 99-5156 DUE 081399 POC Denise Reavis, 202-502-1330 Furnish all necessary labor, equipment, materials, and expertise necessary to provide, install, and test the fully operational sound reinforcement system in one (1) courtroom in the U.S. District Court in Akron, OH. The sound reinforcement systems include sound reinforcement, assisted listening, recording, phone interface and a control system. The work includes but is not limited to supply/fabrication/testing and adjustment of sound reinforcement, preparation of operations and maintenance manuals, user training, warranty maintenance, and the repair and refinishing of all surfaces damaged during the installation of the system components and cabling. The contractor shall have calibrated test equipment of sufficient quality to permit repair and adjustment of system components to manufacture's specifications. The project also includes installation of courtroom video system which may include items like evidence presentation systems, infrastructure distribution, switching, controls, and video conferencing. Video option may be exercised at time of award subject to availability of funds. Award will be made to the responsive, responsible bidder submitting the lowest-price. Estimated cost is between $100,000 and $250,000. Bid, payment and performance bonds are required. Bids will be solicited for the proposed contract on an unrestricted basis as to business size.
