The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has a requirement for the construction of a pre-engineered metal storage facility at its Mid-Continent Ecology Division Laboratory, 6201 Congdon Boulevard, Duluth, MN. The exterior of the building will be clad in pre-manufactured metal siding and metal roof panel. There will be 7 points of entry on the front facade including one 8-foot overhead door and one 12-foot overhead door. The interior of the building will be an open plan space with no partitions or dividers. Fire protection connections shall be made within the building and stubbed outside the building for future sprinkler system. Plumbing connections shall be made within the building and stubbed outside the building for future water service. Waste system shall be provided for future plumbing fixtures, with sanitary waste from building stubbed outside the building for future connection. HVAC shall consist of infra-red heaters for all areas, with gas service for heating units. General lighting and power shall be provided for the building, including connections to all mechanical equipment. Electric service shall be provided from existing circuit breaker in existing shop building to new storage facility. An 8-month contract performance period is anticipated. The estimated price range is between $200,000 and $300,000. There will be no charge for solicitation documents.
