15 -- PRODUCTION AND INSTALLATION OF REPLACEMENT OF WING FOLD RIBS ON 17 OF THE S-3B AIRCRAFT DUE 073099 POC Linda A. The Government anticipates awarding a sole source contract to Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems Company (LMASC), 86 South Cobb Drive, Marietta, GA 30063 for the S-3 type/model/series (T/M/S) Wing Fold Rib Replacement Production and Installation effort. LMASC is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and sole integrator of the S-3A Weapon System and the Weapon System Improvement Program (S-3B). Under contract N00019-98-C-0027, LMASC is completing Wing Fold Rib Removal Planning and Preparation, Removal Plan Documentation, Removal Plan Brief, Non-Recurring Engineering for the Rib Installation Design, Integrated Logistics Support, Prototype Rib Fabrication, Tooling Fabrication and Assembly, and Trial Rib Removal and Replacement with Validation/Verification Documentation. This follow-on effort is for the production and installation of replacement wing fold ribs on the 17 S-3B aircraft in service with original design ribs. Along with the above non-recurring engineering effort, LMASC is the only companywhich has access to the necessary engineering drawings, and the original/updated design, stress, loads and structural analyses, necessary to provide required engineering services required for this effort.
