mohn@fetc.doe.gov. DESC: The U.S. Department of Energy's Federal Energy
Technology Center (FETC), Pittsburgh, PA has the requirement for a
Dual, pulsed 532nm Nd:YAG lasers -- two separate lasers combined into
a single package with a collinear output beam. Each laser must produce
at least 15 pulses per second with an output power of at least 100
mJ/pulse at 532nm. Laser pulse widths must be 5 nanoseconds or less.
Laser beam diameter must be 5mm or less. The two lasers must have
separate external signal inputs so that external signals may be used to
trigger the flash lamps and q-switch for each laser independently. At
a MINIMUM proposers must provide written product information sufficient
to verify that the proposed equipment meets the above requirements as
well as supplying the following specifications for the proposed
equipment: (1) Energy per laser pulse at 532nm; (2) Energy stability;
(3) Laser pulse repetition rate (for each laser); (4) Laser beam
diameter; (5) Laser pulse width; (6) Laser beam divergence; (7)
Relative jitter; (8) Physical dimensions of laser head and power supply
(length, height, and width in inches); (9) Weight of laser head (lbs)
and weight of power supply (lbs); (10) Electrical power requirements;
and (11) External cooling water requirements. This requirement is being
procured and will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified
Acquisition Procedures. The proposed purchase order is 100% set-aside
for Small Business concerns. Tentative issue date for RFQ is on or
about July 22, 1999.. A firm fixed priced purchase order will be
