The Simulation Software Support Activity at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, Maryland has a requirement to furnish, update and maintain tactical combat environment performance simulation and weapon scoring software for training facility/device support. The software generated will be utilized on various operational and developmental Navy, Marine, Air Force, Army and foreign military training systems. This announcement is for the services required to support the efforts identified in the RFI announcement CBD Submission Number 314831 Solicitation N00421-99-R-1043 posted 31 March 1999. This is a notice of intent to request a proposal from and negotiate with FAAC, Inc., 1229 Oak Valley Drive, Ann Arbor, Michigan, 48108, on a sole source basis. FAAC, Inc. has been identified as the only responsible source capable of meeting the Government's requirements. It is anticipated that a cost plus fixed fee contract will be awarded for a one year base period of performance with options for four additional years. See Number Note 22.
