Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Naval Regional Contracting Center (NRCC) Naples, Italy intends to place a contract on a sole source basis with Motorola, U.S. Federal Markets Division, 7230 Parkway Drive, Hanover, MD 21076. Contract is for repair and maintenance of Land Mobile Radios and physical security alarm system referred to as INTRAC 2000 on behalf of Naval Support Activity Naples, IT. Contract period of performance will be for one (1) base year and one (1) option year. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties who contend that they are capable of providing the supplies and services should submit within 15 days from the publication of this notice, specific factual data and other pertinent information as so desired, to be used as an evaluation basis to determine competence to successfully meet the requirement. All proposals received within the 15 days notice period will be considered by the Government. The Government reserves the right not to open thisrequirement to competition based upon responses to this notice. Technical responses and requests received as a result of this Notice of Intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
