The VA Roseburg Healthcare System (VARHS), Roseburg, Oregon, requires a Contractor to provide durable medical equipment (DME) supplies and services. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, transportation, equipment, set-up, recover, clean, store and reissue new and used medical equipment and supplies and services to VARHS beneficiaries homes within our medical treatment area. The medical treatment area for VARHS includes the following: For Oregon: Lane, Douglas, Coos, Curry, Josephine, Jackson, Klamath and Lake Counties; for Northern California: Del Norte and Siskiyou Counties. The Contractor must be a Joint Commission Accreditated Hospital Organization (JCAHO) for Home Care. The Contractor is required to have a DME facility within the county they service. VARHS plans on awarding a multiple-award contract. Contract period is October 1, 1999 through September, 30, 2000, with four (4) option years to extend the term of the contract, subject to availability of funds.
