Repair Electrical Distribution System and ECIP Modernize Electrical
Substation DDJC Tracy, CA This proposed contract is Unrestricted JOB
DESCRIPTION: Repair and Upgrade the Electrical Distribution System at
DDJC Tracy. The work will include demolition of the existing substation
except for the transformers, overhead conductors, insulators,
crossarms, transformers, approximately 100 of the poles; providing a
new 12.47 KV, three phase, three wire, overhead system including new
overhead transformers utilizing the existing poles that are not going
to be replaced and replacing some of the poles; provide a new 60 KV to
12.47 KV substation to feed the entire installation and switch over
the old 4160 volt system to the new substation before Demo of the old
substation. The existing 4.16 KV transformers contain PCB's and will be
removed by the contract. SIC CODE. This procurement will be conducted
under SIC code: 1731. The size standard for this SIC code is:
$7,000,000.00. UNRESTRICTED: Large businesses competing for this
project must comply with the FAR 52.219-9 clause regarding the
requirement for a subcontracting plan on the part of the work it
intends to subcontract. The recommended goals for subcontract- ing are
62.0% for small business, 10% for small disadvantaged business, and 5%
for small business/woman-owned. A firm that submits a plan with lesser
goals must submit written rationale to support goals submitted.
Estimated cost is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000. For more
