Work involves the demolition and removal of the Happy Isles Bridge in Yosemite Valley, Yosemite National Park, CA. Reinforced concrete bridge was constructed in 1921, spans approx 58 feet over the Merced River, approx 20 feet wide. Dry demolition techniques (ie. catchment barge) need be employed to minimize river disturbances. Will be a negotiated "best value" procurement in which the succesful quoter will be selected on the basis of price and cpability (non-price) factors. Non-price factors will be EQUALLY as important as price factors. Non-price factors will include: 1)past performance (how well the quoter satisfied its customers in the past) and 20 the proposed technical approach. The work will be considered construction, as the Government anticipates the building of a replacement bridge. The magnitude of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. The SIC code is 1795.
