Description (i) This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in the notice. (ii) Solicitation F44600-99-T0486 is issued as a Request for Quote. Quotes are requested and a written RFQ will not be issued. (iii) The solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition circular (FAC) 97-06 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-13. It is the contractor responsibility to be familiar with all-applicable clauses and provisions. (iv) This acquisition will be 100% Small Business set aside, the Standard Industrial Classified Code is 3621. (v) The 1st Civil Engineering Squadron has a requirement for one (1) each Diesel Generator with Trailer. (vi) The following requirements applicable are: Manufacture Name: Caterpillar or Equal, Manufacture Part: XQ350+. Control System: Governor vernier control IH, woodward 524 electronic governor. Cooling System: Radiator-C size, enclosure mounted. Distribution Panel: Lockable doors, 250-volt twist lock plug and wire with the door closed. Bus bar connections _ easy access for connections through bottom of unit, even when on the ground. Generator dual voltage 416-480, 208-240. No external devices for switching voltages I.E. Dry/wet transformers not acceptable. Main circuit breaker, one (1) _240V-480V, 1200 amp, current transformers hard mounted. Receptacles with individual circuit breakers: One (1) 240 volt, 50 amp; One (1) 480 volt, 20 amp; Two (2) 120 volt, 15 amp duplex; Two (2) 120 volt, 20 amp twist lock; remote start/stop contacts. Load bank total 8 hours, last hour to be 110% of rated KW, using .8 PF, reactive load bank only.
