requirement is for a Sling, Engine and Transmission. This is not a
request for proposals, this is a market research only. However, the
Government is investigating the possibility to buy an engine lifting
sling of no less than 4000 pound capacity that will allow a raised load
to be manually tilted. The adjusting mechanism should be manually
adjustable and self-locking so that the load can not be tilted
inadvertently. Lengthening one leg of the sling shall automatically
shorten the other leg. The sling shall be no less than 65 inches long
end-to-end, and shall have a swiveling hook on each leg that has a
throat opening of no less than 1 inch. The sling shall also have a
lifting eye or eyebolt having an inside diameter of no less than 1-5/8
inches. Interested persons should submit technical information,
manufacturer's model number, parts list, price and availability on
commercial sling, engine and transmission. Request this information be
